Music, five countries, half of humanity. But where are the female composers? Nathalie Negro, concert performer and artistic director of a company, has been fighting for a long time for them to be recognized. Following in her footsteps, for two years—the duration of a European project in Armenia, Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, and France—students are researching, discovering, and performing their works. They also worked on “We,” a piece written for them by composer Eve Risser. Because awareness alone is not enough, they also developed educational tools to ensure that female composers are no longer the exception in the world of music.
